Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 July 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of InquoCV, including our website, applications, and related services (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by InquoCV Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17322210, with its registered office at 2 Frederick Street, Kings Cross, London, United Kingdom, WC1X 0ND (“InquoCV”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
By creating an account, accessing, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and InquoCV, and apply to every visitor and registered user of the Service. We may publish additional terms for particular features; where they apply, they form part of this agreement. If a translated version of these Terms conflicts with the English version, the English version prevails to the fullest extent permitted by law.
2. Eligibility and age
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service. To make a purchase, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your country of residence) and legally able to enter into a binding contract. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide when registering is accurate and kept up to date. You may hold only one account unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3. Your account and security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Your account is personal to you and may not be shared, sold, transferred, or used by more than one person. To protect against misuse, access is limited to one active session at a time, and unusual, automated, or excessive activity may be limited or blocked. Please notify us promptly at support@inquocv.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. We are not responsible for losses arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.
4. The Service — what InquoCV does
InquoCV is an online tool that helps you create, tailor, and format resumes and cover letters intended to work well with automated applicant-tracking systems, and export them as document files. The Service is provided to assist you; it does not, and cannot, guarantee any particular result. In particular:
- We do not guarantee that you will receive a job, an interview, or any response from any employer.
- We do not guarantee that any document will be accepted, read, parsed, or ranked in any particular way by any applicant-tracking system or other third party.
- The Service does not provide legal, career, financial, immigration, or other professional advice and must not be relied upon as such.
- Features, templates, and availability may be added, changed, or removed at any time.
5. Plans, credits, and fair use
We offer a free tier with a limited number of credits, together with one-time paid plans. The features, credits, and limits of each plan are described on our pricing page. Paid plans are one-time purchases: there are no subscriptions and nothing renews automatically.
Where a plan is described as “unlimited”, this means unlimited use for your own genuine, personal job search. It is not a licence for commercial resale, for use by agencies or other third parties, or for generating resumes and cover letters on behalf of many different people. “Unlimited” is always subject to the fair-use terms below.
To keep the Service fast, affordable, and available to everyone, all use — including “unlimited” plans — is subject to fair use. These limits exist solely to prevent automated, bulk, fraudulent, or abusive activity, and are deliberately set far beyond what any ordinary individual job seeker would ever reach in normal use. We do not publish the exact thresholds, as doing so would help bad actors circumvent them.
We may monitor usage through our own systems to detect breaches of fair use or these Terms — for example, automated access, account sharing, or generating documents for many different individuals. Where we identify misuse, we may, at our discretion and in proportion to the issue, contact you, issue a warning, apply temporary or permanent limits, or suspend or terminate your account. Genuine users going about a normal job search will never be affected.
We may introduce, change, or revise credits, usage limits, plan features, or prices at any time and for any reason. Any such change applies on a forward-looking basis and will not retroactively remove access you have already paid for during its stated term.
6. Payments
All purchases are sold and processed by one of our authorized resellers and Merchants of Record — Creem or Dodo Payments — depending on your region and payment method. When you buy a plan, your purchase contract is with the applicable reseller, which (not InquoCV) is the legal seller of record and is responsible for payment processing, billing, invoicing, and collecting any applicable taxes. The amount charged, including any tax, is calculated and shown by that reseller at checkout, and the charge may appear under Creem's or Dodo Payments' name on your statement. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy and by the applicable reseller's terms, which also apply to your purchase.
7. Your content and your responsibility
“Your Content” means any information, documents, text, or data you upload to or create with the Service, including your existing resume and personal details. You retain ownership of Your Content. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness, and legality of Your Content and of any document you generate and send to a third party such as an employer. You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit Your Content, that it does not infringe the rights of others, and that it is not false, misleading, or unlawful. We do not verify, fact-check, or endorse Your Content or the documents you create.
8. Automated and AI-generated content
Parts of the Service use automated and third-party artificial-intelligence tools to structure, rewrite, tailor, or generate text based on the information you provide. Automated output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or generic, and may occasionally contain errors or content that does not fit your circumstances. You must carefully review, verify, and edit all generated content before relying on or using it. All generated content is provided on an “as is” basis, and you remain fully responsible for the final documents you choose to use.
InquoCV is an independent product that provides resume and cover-letter assistance through its own interface, built on top of third-party AI models — currently OpenAI's GPT-4o mini. InquoCV is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI or any other AI model provider, and any model names are used only to describe the technology we rely on.
9. Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, design, templates, formatting and processing systems, text, graphics, logos, and the “InquoCV” brand — is owned by InquoCV or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Service, nor attempt to access or extract its underlying source, models, instructions, or technology.
You retain ownership of Your Content and of the resumes and cover letters you generate, and we grant you a personal, non-exclusive right to use them for your own job-search purposes.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to the extent necessary to operate and provide the Service to you. We do not use the content of your resumes or cover letters to improve or train our systems unless you have expressly enabled the relevant option in your account settings. Separately, we may use fully de-identified and aggregated information — which does not identify you or reveal your resume content — to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Service.
10. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and only for its intended purpose. You must not:
- use the Service to create false, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading documents, or to impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliations;
- share, sell, rent, or transfer your account, or use a single account to generate documents for many different people;
- access or use the Service through automated means (such as bots, scrapers, or scripts), or attempt to generate content in bulk;
- copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, models, instructions, or underlying technology of the Service;
- interfere with, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or any systems or networks connected to it;
- upload malicious code or any content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise harmful; or
- use the Service in breach of any applicable law or regulation, or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service or harm other users.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings; deleting your account is permanent and removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, engage in fraud or abuse, initiate an unjustified payment reversal, or where we are required to do so by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including those on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity — will continue to apply.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that any output will be accurate or meet your requirements, or that defects will be corrected. The Service relies on third-party providers and connectivity outside our control and may be unavailable from time to time. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, InquoCV will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, opportunities, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid for InquoCV products in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) GBP 50. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of all mandatory rights and remedies under the consumer law of your country of residence, which this section does not affect.
14. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless InquoCV and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or Your Content, except to the extent they arise from our own breach or negligence. This section does not apply to the extent it would remove protections you have as a consumer under applicable law.
15. Third-party services
The Service relies on trusted third-party providers for functions such as payment processing, hosting, storage, security, and automated content processing. Your purchases are handled by our authorized resellers, Creem or Dodo Payments, as described above. Your use of certain functions may be subject to those providers' own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, content, or availability of third parties, and their involvement does not imply endorsement. Further detail about how your information is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy.
16. Service reliability and dependencies
InquoCV is a new and actively developed service. This means occasional interruptions, bugs, maintenance windows, and changes are to be expected as we build and improve it. The Service also depends on third-party providers — including hosting, database and authentication, automated and AI content processing, and payment processing — and an outage, error, or change at any of these providers can make the Service, or parts of it, temporarily unavailable or degraded. Such interruptions are outside our reasonable control.
If an interruption affects a paid plan, your sole and exclusive remedy is restoration of your access and, at our discretion and as a goodwill gesture, an extension of the affected plan for a period comparable to the disruption. We are not liable for any other loss arising from unavailability, downtime, or degraded performance, consistent with the Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability sections above. Nothing in this section affects any mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you.
17. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time — for example, to reflect changes to the Service, our business, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting the updated Terms with a new “last updated” date. Changes are not retroactive and apply only to your use of the Service after they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. However, if you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales, you benefit from any mandatory provisions of the consumer-protection law of your country of residence, and nothing in this section deprives you of that protection or of any right you have to bring proceedings in your local courts. We encourage you to contact us first at support@inquocv.com so we can try to resolve any concern informally.
19. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided your rights are not reduced. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, form the entire agreement between you and InquoCV regarding the Service. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
20. Contact us
